Lighting Control and Design

Lighting plays an essential role in creating the right mood or environment, well designed and controlled lighting can enhance all areas of your home and help create the right mood. Using techniques that have been in use in the theatre for many years Design Innovation can design and install a lighting system to suit your tastes and budget. Using scene setting controls a number of useful features can be incorporated into the design:

An 'all lights off' button by the front door.
A 'welcome home' button by the front door to switch on the hall & exterior lights.
An 'away from home' pattern that can mimic your normal routines.
A night time route that illuminates the route to the bathroom at a lower level.
Lights that come on automatically if it's dark and if someone enters the room.
Different scenes for different times of the day.

These are only a few features that can be built into a lighting system by Design Innovation. We use products from the leading dimmer manufacturers to provide a reliable and easy to use system. There are many ways of controlling lighting systems ranging from normal light switches through to touch screen panels that can control every aspect of your home automation system.

Design Innovation is a Dynalite system integrator and KNX Partner.

Dynalite does not rely on a central processor, but uses 'distributed intelligence' which makes it very scalable and resilient. The system is also easily integrated into other systems, such as Control 4, and has powerful logic functionality built in enabling us to customise buttons to provide house wide functions.

The contemporary Revolution Series control panels incorporate a clip-on cover fastening system that provides the ultimate in aesthetic design flexibility. Incorporating a unique button depth adjustment facility, the panels accommodate covers of any practically any flat architectural surface medium such as Glass, stone, wood, metal, ceramic, laminate, leather...the options are endless and the choice is yours.

KNX is the only open protocol for building management and control systems. Firmly established in Europe it is now properly supported in the UK. Design Innnovation is a KNX partner and a member of the KNX association in the UK. A KNX control system can incorporate heating, cooling, ventilation, blind, curtain and lighting control.

We can offer controls from over 100 manufacturers some of which incorporate heating controls as well such as the Gira switch shown here - with such a choice we're sure we can find the right style of wall switch to suit your interior.
