KNX is different, it is the only open standard for home automation or commercial / industrial building control. An open standard building control system means a system that is not manufacturer specific and as there are over 100 manufacturers building KNX devices this is system that is not only robust but is here to stay for a long time. The beauty of KNX is the ability to mix and match switches, dimmers, relays, etc. from different manufacturers and know that it will work. KNX also offers full temperature control and HVAC system control with room thermostats built into the light switch for example.

Design Innovation is currently working on a project that includes 28 zones of under floor heating, 150 lighting circuits and RGB LED colour mixing lighting. KNX control will form the basis of the control system for this project.
